Chattahoochee River Paddle Cleanup

August 19, 2022
8:45 AM - 2 PM

We will meet at 8:45 AM at Powers Island unit of CRNRA (5450 Interstate N Pkwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328).  Some of the cars will need to shuttle everyone to the start the clean-up at the Johnson Ferry North unit of the CRNRA. Max of 16 volunteers (8 canoes)

We will decide the day of the clean-up if the water bacteria levels, approaching storms, and water flow make it too dangerous to float. If we cannot float we will do trail work of trash pick-up. Please bring an extra set of clothes (long pants, closed-toed shoes, etc) to be prepared.

Estimated departure from the river would be 2 PM

You must register and fill out the appropriate National Park Service (NPS) waiver to participate.
