Join the Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy for a February Hike
Saturday, Feb. 5
10 AM - 12:30 PM
Island Ford Unit of
Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA)
1978 Island Ford Pkwy, Atlanta, GA 30350
Our February hike is roughly 3.4 miles and includes several steep inclines. We will hike downhill from the parking lot to the river trails, stop at the Visitors Center, and return to the parking lot. The hike passes tumbling creeks, and three rock outcroppings.
After the main hike, an optional, additional 3.2-mile hike in the northern section of Island Ford is moderately strenuous with several steep sections.
This is a great opportunity to explore the Island Ford unit of the CRNRA and complete some trails towards the HikeCRNRA challenge.
Please no dogs.
Not recommended for children under 12.
Registration is required
Max 20 participants
This event will take place rain or shine, however it will be rescheduled in the event of severe weather including thunderstorms or flood warnings. Participants will be notified by email the morning of the event (or sooner) should an event need to be rescheduled due to weather.
