Join the Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy for our February Community Hike

Saturday, February 25
9 AM – 12 PM

Vickery Creek Unit and Allenbrook Unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA)

Our 4.5 – 5 mile Vickery Creek hike travels the perimeter of the Vickery Creek unit. We’ll hike up the southern ridge, through native magnolia forests, and past thickets of mountain laurel. This moderate to strenuous hike has several steep, rocky, strenuous sections. Hiking poles might be helpful for some hikers.

Meet at the Vickery Creek Riverside Road parking lot

After hiking at Vickery Creek, join an optional hike at Allenbrook, to explore a lesser-known unit. This hike will take approximately one hour. This 1.8 mile hike follows Big Creek. Descend two steep wooden staircases (total of 139 stairs) to the creek, and walk past cliffs known for rock climbing. At the end of the hike we will climb the wooden staircases back to the parking lot.

We will drive our cars 0.5 miles from the Vickery Creek parking lot to the Allenbrook parking lot.
