Community hike with Birds Georgia

Join us for this 2-hour guided hike at the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area's (CRNRA) Powers Island, co-led by Birds Georgia and the Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy! This is an exciting opportunity to discover the incredible work Birds Georgia has done to enhance the park and experience the beauty of Cochran Shoals firsthand. Along the way, you'll observe a diverse array of bird species in their natural habitat.

Facilities: Restrooms are located in the parking lot

Note: Please, no children under 12 and no dogs.

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate, but the narrow dirt path can be challenging for those with mobility issues. 

Limit: 20 persons

There is a $5.00 fee to park at the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, or use your annual CRNRA pass or an America the Beautiful pass.

This event will take place rain or shine, however it will be rescheduled in the event of severe weather including thunderstorms or flood warnings. Participants will be notified by email the morning of the event (or sooner) should an event need to be rescheduled due to weather.
