Visit Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area
From hiking and biking to paddling and fishing, the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA) offers an abundance of recreational opportunities for visitors of all ages and interests. With its 48-mile stretch of the iconic Chattahoochee River flowing through metro Atlanta, and its surrounding parklands spanning 15 units, CRNRA provides an escape into nature right in the heart of the city.

CRNRA’s 15 park units are nestled throughout Metro Atlanta along the Chattahoochee River, offering easy access to nature wherever you are. Explore each access point and find your nearest unit below.
A park pass is required for all visitors in all units of CRNRA. 80% of all fees collected help fund critical projects that improve services and protect resources in the park. Daily passes ($5), annual passes ($40), or annual senior passes ($20) are available for purchase online through NPS.

Visitor Center
Located in the historic Hewlett Lodge, the Island Ford Visitor Center is your go-to spot for information about the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, the center offers maps, park updates, and souvenirs. You can also purchase your Annual Park Pass or any of the America the Beautiful series passes here. Stop by and get the latest on everything our local national park has to offer!
The Visitor Center is located inside the Island Ford Unit (8800 Roberts Drive, Sandy Springs, GA 30350).
